New RV Friendly Signs in Florida

The number of RV rentals and RV’s for sale in Florida has increased dramatically along with the worldwide trend of RV rentals and RV sales. Florida has especially seen an increase in RV travelers due to the many theme parks and other attractions located in the state. Many RV travelers have problems knowing where their RV’s can be accommodated however.

New RV Friendly signs have started going up along Florida highways. The RV Friendly signs are bright yellow circles with the letters "RV" on them, and designate local Florida businesses such as restaurants, hotels, travel destinations, attractions and gas stations that are RV Friendly. RV Friendly means that the businesses must meet state requirements for large parking spaces, entrances, exits and overhang clearances for RV’s. The signs can be found on "Gas-Food-Lodging" highway signs.

The RV Friendly signs will make a big difference for RV travelers in Florida. When they see the RV Friendly sign, they will know that they can get their RV into the establishment’s parking lot, get the service they need and get out safely. Florida businesses who participate should see an increase in the RV vehicles they provide service to.

These RV Friendly signs will be especially helpful to people with RV rentals because they are new to RV travel on the whole. Many RV travelers are hoping that Florida sets a trend with the RV Friendly signs and that other states will soon follow their lead.
